Here's our mid-week video! It's the title-track (of sorts) from this week's album. Though the video is essentially 10 minutes of watching paint dry, the song itself is a thing of beauty. Slap on a good pair of headphones and enjoy!
I don't do headphones and handheld for this kind of thing but appreciate your suggestion. I have full screen and desktop and a comfortable chair and just spent nearly ten minutes watching the video and I really liked it.
It's impressive that it's the cover of the album too, so we get to see that in creation. I really like glimpses into slow lives of things that don't fly by so fast they hurt my head. I can't keep up, and enjoyed the seemingly gentle pace of the sped up imagery, and the sunlight through the fence. That part was magical.
As for the song, well, that was pretty too in that kind of stoned melancholic strummer-drifter kind of vibe. Whether it justifies nine-plus minutes since it doesn't evolve all that much would remain to be seen through repeat listens.
I tend to sometimes gravitate towards that kind of style; similar in a way to FM Cornog of East River Pipe and Jeff Martin of Idaho is what initially came to mind.
It only remains now to see if Kurt can exist in my life in a place similar to those hallowed two. I hope to find out later.
